Today, we would like to honor all the brave men and women, past and present, who have dedicated themselves to serving our country. The great sacrifices they have made are worthy of our deep respect and admiration, not just on this Veterans Day but every day.

In the spirit of paying tribute to our nation’s heroes, we would like to highlight the service of one of our own staff, Jason Kurtzhals. Prior to joining the Gateway team, Jason served in the U.S. Air Force from 2005-2009, holding positions in the military police and later the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. A Michigan native, Jason has traveled to and lived in Texas, North Carolina, Washington, Korea, and the Middle East.

Jason went on to earn a degree in Occupational Therapy from Baker College before joining Gateway, where he currently holds the position of Assistant Facility Manager. In this role, he has been instrumental in the development of our new clinics and the expansion of our current facilities. Jason also has gained extensive experience providing direct therapy at Gateway, standing out as a favorite among the children we serve, their families, and his fellow team members.
