Sensory Friendly Movie @ Henry Ford Museum

Giant Screen Experience will be showing “Enchanted.” In this film, an animated princess from a land called Andalasia, who is prepared to be wed, is sent away to real-world New York City by an evil Queen, where she falls in love with a lawyer.
The experience includes modifications to the traditional theater experience:
-Lighting: The house lights stay on throughout the film
-Sound: The sound is turned down for sensitive ears
-Environment: Stress-free and welcoming
-Concessions: Available at the Giant Screen Experience Lobby
Sensory Friendly Second Saturdays are free thanks to a generous grant from the Institute for Museum and Library Services, but ADVANCE REGISTRATION is required. Please register by noon on Friday, September 9th.

The KeyBank Discovery Theater has two, sensory-friendly showtimes for 3D educational films. Every Tuesday at 4:15pm and every Sunday at 12:30, will have the lights up and the volume down giving all visitors an opportunity to experience the wonder of the GIANT screen. Symphony Sensory Friendly concerts are designed for those on the autism spectrum, our friends in the dementia/Alzheimer’s community, or for those audience members needing a more relaxed concert experience. Performances are never longer than an hour and include pre-concert lobby activities. During these concerts, audience members can feel free to move around, talk and BYO reinforcements and motivational systems. House lights will be turned on but dimmed, and “chill-out” zones will be available in the lobby for those needing a break.
