End of Summer Activities

Summer is still here and it’s not too late to take advantage of the fun events going on in your area. If you and your family are looking to get out and have a fun-filled weekend, there are some great options for you to choose from. Here are just a few examples:

Tons of Trucks

This is a great event not only for individuals who enjoy trucks, but also for anyone looking for a good time. RARA Recreation will be hosting this event on August 17th from 9:00am – 12:00pm. This will be a free event that has lawn games, a rock wall, inflatable games and, of course, a Ton of Trucks! For more information click on this link: Tons of Trucks

Grand Camp at Red Oaks

The Red Oaks Nature Center in Madison Heights will be offering an opportunity for families to dive into the life of dinosaurs on August 17th from 10:30am – 12:30pm. This event will offer those in attendance a chance to see fossils, learn new facts about dinosaurs, and even join in a paleontological dig. Pre-registration will be required so take a look at their website by selecting this link: Discovery

Kensington Metropark

Located in Milford, Kensington Metropark will be hosting a fun-filled evening for families in the area. There will be bounce houses, face painting, and an opportunity to meet the park’s officers. Kensington Metropark is aware that with all the fun and commotion occurring throughout the event, some kiddos will need a sensory-friendly area to take a break. That’s why they have designated zones designed just for this. To end the night, the park will be showing a Dog’s Journey for an outdoor movie experience. Teen Night

Urban Air Trampoline Center in Oxford is inviting teens from 13-18 to join in a fun filled teen night. There will be a dodgeball tournament, basketball hoops, and a foam pit. The event will have free pizza to all those in attendance. If you have a teen that would like to get out of the house and hang-out with peers, this is a great opportunity.
